About Steve Calder
Most recently, Steve led media strategy to promote HP’s print security leadership, including global campaign “The Wolf.” The Wolf and The Wolf: The Hunt Continues web series, starring the award-winning actor, Christian Slater, highlights how corporate networks can be hacked and what companies must do to protect themselves. Steve also drove media activation of HP’s partnership with Disney to relaunch “Club Mickey Mouse,” an always-on digital- and social-first variety program. The program enables HP to introduce printing to an entire generation who likely haven’t experience the joy of print.
Previously, Steve served as Chief Media Officer at Mullen, where he conceived of and led the agency’s Mediahub practice, a powerful integrated resource across the disciplines of media strategy, negotiation, analytics, digital, sports and entertainment marketing. Before Mullen, Steve served as Managing Director for AKQA San Francisco. While there he played an active role in transforming the agency into a leading digitally focused global company. Steve began his career in New York, serving in leadership roles for global agencies Benton & Bowles and Publicis, managing blue chip assignments including British Airways and Procter & Gamble.
Steve has been an active speaker over the years, including events such as ANA Conferences, Ad:Tech, and the Ad Club Symposium. Steve has an MBA from the University of Connecticut and a BA from Hamilton College.
