The Social Media Marketing Manager is an energetic and experienced champion of new and emerging communications channels with knowledge and abilities in social and mobile media. He/she will lead the day-to-day channel operations and community management and is responsible for program implementation, campaign execution, performance measurement and ROI analysis; while leveraging customer insights, benchmarking and industry trends to drive best in class results-driven channels and campaigns. This position requires a strategic and creative thinker who actively advocates, promotes and educates the organization on usage of social channels and will help design programs that fully leverage the platforms.

This individual will be responsible for implementing and managing Sprinklr, an enterprise social media platform, and will help lead a cross-functional team of individuals needing social media support. He/she will work closely with the Integrated Channel lead to design and customize campaigns delivering against various segments that lead to measurable results, and will also take direction from the Content Director to coordinate social campaigns that support larger content strategies. This role will collaborate directly with business leaders to develop, own and drive highly targeted campaigns that align with go-to market strategies. The position requires a nimble, detail-oriented, multi-tasker to work closely with other members of the Marketing team and other business areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate social media activities across the organization
  • Execute social media strategy leading the creation of a social experience for customers and consumers and on-going management of all social platforms
  • Curate innovative, engaging content, publish regularly, monitor and respond to relevant conversations
  • Maintain and assure compliance with governance of social media as a corporate discipline
  • Act as first-point-of-contact for business area requests for social media support
  • Develop metrics platform and report on adoption and engagement of social media tools; produce weekly listening report and analysis of social activity that results in proactive recommendations for optimizing content across digital platform
  • Produce regular channel reporting and campaign wrap up reports to internal campaign managers and business owners.
  • Stay current with changing Social Media landscape and evaluate and make recommendations on the applicability of new offerings.
  • Follow and report on competitive and other Blues Plans activity in the space
  • Establish and nurture relationships with applicable advisory groups within the Association
  • Liaise with corporate business areas in the development and implementation of individual strategies ensuring that all programs are consistent with principles of strategic design and reflective of brand standards
  • Presents strategies and creative concepts to leadership as well as internal business stakeholders. Builds consensus and enlists support for strategies and campaigns
  • Maintains a solid understanding of company products and services, market and competition
  • Incorporates branding guiding principles and governance into work product
  • Manages assigned projects for scheduled completion, cost and budget adherence
  • Be available and responsive to needs for developing and executing urgent social communications at all times (evening and weekend work sometimes needed).


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in digital platforms including social and mobile
  • Familiar with managing B2B and B2C campaigns
  • Past experience managing paid media campaigns, and past agency experience a plus
  • Impressive communication and presentation skills for multiple management levels
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to make sound business recommendations and decisions
  • Experience with lead nurturing, database management, marketing automation, and web analytics
  • Detail-oriented, solutions-driven, organized, multi-tasker who works well under pressure
  • Healthcare experience and familiarity with HIPAA privacy a plus
  • Solid experience in growing media channels including implementation, strategic development, channel planning, creative and production process
  • Proven effectiveness in digital and social media marketing
  • Effective and persuasive presentation skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects to produce high-quality, effective campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to make sound business recommendations and decisions
  • Strong PC and/or MAC skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Acrobat, Adobe
  • Experience using SMMS platforms (Hootsuite, Spredfast or Sprinklr – Sprinklr preferred), native platforms (i.e. Facebook Business Manager), social media listening tools
  • Adobe Omniture experience preferred, but not required
