Kathy is Chief Consumer Experience and Marketing Officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA), the Commonwealth’s largest private health plan and one of the largest independent, not-for-profit companies in the country. BCBSMA serves nearly 3 million members and is rated among the best consumer healthcare companies in the country.
Leading our evolution to be a more consumer-focused company, Kathy is responsible for executing Marketing, Digital, and Consumer Experience strategies that meet the ever-changing needs of consumers and employers in a digitally-evolving marketplace. She drives the brand strategy, ensuring it aligns to our corporate mission of quality, affordability, and delivered through unparalleled consumer experiences. She also leads our market insight and strategies, including our unique listening community and our Net Promoter Score research, to ensure our customers and members have a voice in driving future advancements that matter as it relates to products, services and future digital innovations.
Kathy joined BCBSMA in February 2017, bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in solving business challenges through branding, marketing and communications. Previously, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Kaplan Higher Education, and before that served as Executive Vice \President and Chief Marketing Officer of Santander Bank, where she led the rebranding of Sovereign to Santander. She also held senior positions at Fidelity, John Hancock and KPMG
She also serves as on the Executive Board on Horizons for Homeless Children and the Board of WGBH.
